2022 U.S. Amateur Qualifying - Winchester

Practice Rounds: Please read all of the notes below before contacting the club.
- Practice rounds will be available in the late afternoons (subject to club availability) on June 14,15,16,17,21,22,29,30 and July 1st. Very limited rounds will be available July 4 and 5 for players traveling from outside of the New England area.
- Please e-mail Jim Salinetti with the date(s) you are available to complete a practice round and you will be assigned a time and group to play with.
- Practice Rounds are available for registered players only. The USGA & Mass Golf request that players play just 1 ball, follow any directions from any staff member, and maintain a satisfactory pace of play during the practice round.
- Practice rounds will be provided at no charge. If a player wishes to use a golf cart during the practice round they may do so for the cost of $30 - CREDIT ONLY.
- Players should play from the BLUE tee markers during a practice round for an accurate representation of the qualifier yardages.
Starting Times: Play will begin at 8:00am off the 1st & 10th tees. See the "Starting Times" tab above to view the pairings and starting times. Players will have about 25 - 30 minutes between rounds before starting their second round.
Withdrawals: Please advise the Mass Golf office immediately by e-mailing ghowell@massgolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise the Mass Golf office may disqualify the player from future USGA competition.
Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 2 Qualifying Spot and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the U.S. Amateur Championship at Ridgewood Country Club (Paramus, NJ).
Distance Devices: The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.
Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is prohibited.
Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart. A very limited amount of club caddies are available. If you wish to inquire about the use of a club caddy for the qualifier, please e-mail Jim Salinetti.
Golf Ball: The One-Ball Rule will be in effect. See Appendix I of the Rules of Golf.
Competition Tees/ Yardage: Compeition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Play will be from the USGA White tee markers, which will correspond roughly with the BLUE tee yardage (6,800 yards - Par 71).
Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 7:00am. Please note, the learning center is accessed by car prior to arriving at the club. The short range area will not be available for the qualifier. Further instructions will be sent prior to the qualifier.
Food & Beverage: Further details will be provided regarding F&B.
Dress Code: Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application.
*Please also review the 2022 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labled "USGA Policies" prior to competion.
*There will be no regsitration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to recieve local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
